Greetings From Your Planning Committee:
Thank you for attending the 55th Reunion. We hope you had fun at our get together.
As Reunion tradition shows us, our largest turnout was Friday night. Saturday night our numbers were down, as expected but those who attended Saturday looked like they were having fun talking, sharing stories and catching up with old and new friends. We were also honored to be serenaded by Butch Kerwin.
A big shout-out of thanks to Sue & Jim Bartel for generously hosting the Saturday luncheon at their beautiful ranch. A grateful thank you to Eileen Hewitt for taking on the enormous task of keeping up with all of us on the webpage: JmMayoReunion.Weebly.com
Looking forward to the 60th Reunion we don’t foresee a substantial fall in prices for traveling, event space, or catering. Some of us at our age are now living on limited incomes, and we don’t want to include or exclude friends due to financial reasons. From the feedback we got from talking to a few people who attended Saturday we feel that the 60th Reunion should look similar to this year’s.
The committee is proposing that we meet in 2028 on a Friday night for our one and only evening event. Then if it can be arranged, we could have some kind of event Saturday afternoon. It appears we usually meet the third weekend in July, so we are suggesting meeting July 21 & 22, 2028. The committee is hoping that you enjoyed our laid-back event, where the emphasis was on talking and communicating more than food and entertainment. Actually, seeing people face to face, what a concept!
We are asking for those of you who attended or signed up to come to the reunion for your feedback. Your responses will be reviewed and kept as reference points for planning the 60th. Please feel free to pass this letter on to other 1968 graduates you know who did not hear about the 55th Reunion, and ask them to be sure they let Eileen know on the website of their current email address and information. Any comments or questions regarding this letter can be sent to [email protected]
